Nursery

Drop off: Gates open at 8:45am
Pick up: Pupils can be collected from the school yard
Clubs
Breakfast Club: 7:45am to 8:45am (latest entry 8:30am)
Drop off: Main school entrance door
After School Club: 3:15pm to 5.30pm (except Fridays 4:30pm)
Pick up: Pupils can be collected from the main school entrance door
Punctuality
The school gates open at 8:45am, and are locked at 8.55am - we expect all pupils in during this time. If your child arrives after 8.55am, they are late. Your child’s late arrivals are recorded. This is monitored by the school and by the councils Education Support Officer.
Snack and Lunch
Nursery to Year 6
Healthy snack is provided by the school, the cost is £2 per week and this is paid half termly on the School Gateway app. In line with Welsh Government guidelines, we do not allow the children to bring unhealthy snacks into school and we would be very grateful for your support with this.
Reception to Year 6
All pupils are now eligible to receive Universal Free School Meals. However, pupils can bring their own packed lunch if they wish. School lunches can be pre-booked on the School Gateway app. NEWydd provide a wide range of healthy dishes operating on a three-week cycle.
Drinks
All pupils are to bring a bottle for water every day.
Free School Meals & School Essentials Grant
All full time primary school children in Wales are eligible for Universal Free School Meals, however, Some families who meet certain criteria, for example those on lower incomes or in receipt of certain benefits, are entitled to receive a free school meal (eFSM).
On a successful application for eFSM families are then eligible for other benefits to cover the cost of school essentials such as school essentials grants (PDG).
Even though the roll out of UPFSM will begin in September 2022, and year groups will begin to receive free school meals, families who are eligible for eFSM should continue to use the eFSM application process to ensure they don't lose out on other benefits.
